About Breaking Chains Therapy

Breaking Chains Therapy exists to help people find freedom from unwanted sexual behaviours through Christ-centred counselling and group support. My mission is to walk alongside individuals, couples, and ministry leaders with compassion, confidentiality, and practical tools for lasting change.

Our mission

To provide Christ-centred counselling and group support that helps individuals, couples, and ministry leaders break free from unwanted sexual behaviours, heal from betrayal, and restore hope through compassionate, confidential care.

Our vision

To see lives and families restored, Christian leaders strengthened, and communities freed from the grip of sexual brokenness — living in wholeness, freedom, and healthy relationships.

About me

I am a Certified Counsellor under the Certified Practising Counsellors Australia (CPCA), a Sex Addiction Recovery Professional with the Freedom Fight, and a Certified SafeCare Facilitator. My professional training is grounded in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, integrated with a biblical worldview. These certifications equip me to work with both individuals and groups struggling with unwanted sexual behaviours, as well as those impacted by betrayal trauma.

Before counselling, I served in full-time ministry and completed both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in theology. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of the unique pressures Christian leaders and ministry workers face, and shaped my passion for walking alongside those navigating hidden struggles. Having worked in pastoral care, I know how important it is to have a safe and confidential space to process life’s most difficult challenges.

My Focus

I specialise in working with:

  • Men and women seeking freedom from pornography and sexual addiction.

  • Christian leaders and ministry workers who need confidential support.

  • Individuals who have offended against a child, helping them understand and take responsibility for their behaviour.

  • Couples seeking to rebuild marriages affected by infidelity, pornography, or betrayal.

  • Groups looking for accountability, fellowship, and structured pathways to healing.

My Approach

My counselling approach is rooted in confidentiality, compassion, and honesty. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their struggles, uncover the deeper roots of their behaviour, and begin building a pathway toward freedom. I integrate evidence-based counselling methods with biblical truth, helping clients not only manage behaviour but also experience deep transformation at the heart level.

A Personal Note

Counselling is not just a profession for me – it is a calling. My heart is to see people restored to freedom, hope, and healthy relationships. I believe no one is beyond redemption, and that with the right support, change is possible.

When I’m not counselling, I enjoy time with my wife and four children, staying active through running, and serving the Church.
